Day 13-Monday, May 3
Our last full day in Florida was a good one!
After breakfast Joni and I went bike riding on the trail along St. Joe Peninsula. It was very windy and hot too, but it was still a great ride.
This is an empty beach front lot that has been turned into a single RV campsite with full hookups including WiFi, and a private boardwalk to the beach. It goes for $130/night.
After the ride we returned to the house, picked up Wendy and the three of us went grocery shopping in town.
We spent the afternoon enjoying the beach in front of our rental. The water was choppy and very cloudy, so no snorkeling, but I got in some body surfing.
Joni inspected a dead "Gar" that washed up this morning.
For our last dinner with Wendy and Carl we returned to Provisions in Port St. Joe. Wendy, Carl, & Joni all had salad, I had tuna, and for our main courses Wendy had a bouillabaisse, Carl had a spinach fettuccine with shrimp, sun dried tomatoes, and portobello mushrooms, and Joni and I had shrimp carbonara. We all agreed it was a great last supper.

Looks like you had great weather and food for the entire week! I've enjoyed reading your blog since our trip was cut short and couldn't do most of these things in our short time there. I know my mom and Carl both enjoy your company so much, glad you could spend the time with them :)
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed your days at the beach. Although I could have done without the photo of the dead critter 😬
