Day 12

 Day 12-Sunday, May 2

Joni and I went for a bike ride in the mourning along the bike path in Port St. Joe.  It wasn’t a particularly beautiful ride, no beach, bay or gulf views, but it wound through the back yards of the residential sections of the city, however, it was shaded and quiet.

In the afternoon Wendy and I returned to the state park at the end of the St. Joseph peninsula and enjoyed some snorkeling in the clear turquoise waters of Saint Joseph Bay.  We saw lots of minnows, sea urchins, and sunfish.  I purchased a new snorkel and mask and I was very happy with it.  I can’t wait to use it in Cotuit Bay.

Dinner in Eastpoint, (east of Apalachicola) at the Family Coastal Grill.  Our table was right on the water with a beautiful view of Apalachicola Bay

Carl had grilled grouper Wendy, Joni, and I had shrimp; fried or grilled.  Our sides included:  fried ochre, cheesy grits, hush puppies and oyster stew.
